Fee Schedule Conditions

Booking Fee

To reserve your place at Nurserydale we require the child’s first week of fees to be paid up front, these fees are non-refundable and your child’s place is not guaranteed until this is paid.

Enrolment/Withdrawal

Once a child is enrolled and confirmation of a start date is given, all booked sessions will be charged, regardless of whether a child attends or not.  Three weeks written notice is required if your child is leaving the centre.  Fees are payable during this notice period.  In lieu of notice three weeks fees will be charged.

Payments

Automatic payment and internet banking are our preferred methods of payment as this minimises the amount of staff time required to process payments.  However cheques and cash are also acceptable.

Bank Account details:  ASB 12-3109-0058664-00 (child’s name as reference)

Fees are to be paid at least one week in advance.  After one week of non-payment you will receive a late fee letter requesting immediate payment, after two weeks of non-payment with no explanation the enrolment will be cancelled.

WINZ

Childcare subsidies are available for fee assistance depending on the level of your family income.  Please talk to Libby Hunt regarding this.  This subsidy is only part-payment of your child’s fee and the parents must meet the balance.  Full fees will be charged until the centre receives the WINZ subsidy, until this time parents are responsible for paying the fees.

Family Discount

Where there are two or more children from the same family attending full-time, a discount of 10% will be given to the second and the third child.

Holiday/Statutory Days/Sick Days/Absences

Fees are charged when your child is absent due to sickness or for any other reason.
Fees will be charged for all statutory holidays.  We are unable to substitute or provide in-lieu days for statutory holidays.

Once your child has been attending Nurserydale Childcare continuously for 6 months you are entitled to two weeks holiday with a 50% discount on fees (but only if the account is at zero or in credit).  Additional holidays will be charged at the full fee.

Late fees

For children who are picked up after the Centre’s specified closing time, a late fee of $10 per 5 minutes shall be added to your child’s account.

Note on Government Subsidies

The government subsidises teacher-lead education and care services for all licensed centres on a rate per attending child basis. Subsidies are provided in respect of every hour a child attends up to a maximum of 30 hours per week. The rates outlined above take all of these funding subsidies into account.

Differentials in funding rates are applied by the government as follows:

  • Children aged 3 and 4 are funded by government at a higher rate for centres offering the "20 Hours ECE" service, but for up to 20 hours per week only.

  • Children aged under 2 years are funded at a higher rate than children aged 2 and over (up to 30 hours per week). The rate of funding per hour for under 2s is roughly the same as the "20 Hours ECE" rate for 3 and 4 year olds.

  • The funding rate for all age groups increases with a higher proportion of qualified and registered staff. Rates are calculated based on the proportion of registered staff on duty at any point in time (i.e. staff on non-contact time are not counted). The regulated minimum proportion of qualified staff per centre is 50%. A higher rate of subsidy kicks in when a centre has over 80% qualified staff – Nurserydale qualifies for this rate.

  • No government funding is provided for hours attended in excess of 30 hours per week. For 3 and 4 year olds, a reduced rate of government funding applies for hours attended in excess of 20 but less than 30.

  • Latest funding rates are outlined on the Ministry of Education website.
